Green Lantern #127
Jay Faerber, Ron Lim, Jordi Ensign
DC Comics

New Lantern scribe Faerber spins a yarn around the meeting of Killer Frost and Effigy, on the idea that a sort-of romance could spring up between the two, tossing Green Lantern in more as an annoyance to the pair than anything else.  While a fairly thin story, it does have amusing moments, especially as the character of Kyle Rainer does tend to fit well with aggravation.  Not so amusing is the body count, which gets treated in a very cavalier fashion.  Admittedly, the corpse count does not get to the standards of an average issue of The Authority, but the deaths that do occur should be treated in a less throwaway manner.  Ron Lim's artwork, inked this time by Jodi Ensign, is okay, but nothing stunning.  I'll continue checking the book out for a while, but at this point I'm not convinced that I'll keep up with it.
